There may be instances where you are required to provide certified true copy of a document. 

A certified true copy of document is a duplicate document which has been certified as true copy of the original document, where the person certifying it (normally a public officials or professional) compares the duplicate document to the original document to verify that the duplicate document is the exact copy of the original document and thereafter affixes on the duplicate document a stamp to certify that it is a true copy and his/her name and signature with the capacity he/she is certifying.
